Mason Cooke

Mason Cooke is a passionate professional trombonist, composer, and teacher. He received his Bachelor's degree in music education and trombone performance from Texas Tech University and his Master's degree in trombone performance from the University of Denver. He has performed on trombone and other instruments for over a decade and has gotten the opportunity to perform in several wonderful ensembles and environments.

He has performed with groups such as Remy Le Boeuf's Assembly of Shadows, The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra (CJRO), The Annie Booth Big Band, The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, Opera Colorado, and is the trombonist for the Mountain State Brass Quintet. He has also performed as a musician in touring broadway musicals, the most recent being Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. In addition, he has given multiple solo concerts, performing some of the most well known repertoire for trombone.

He formerly worked as a brass technician with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle corps and currently enjoys freelancing and teaching private lessons.
